All these 81 pieces are conveniently packed and supplied in a custom-molded case so that it is easy to store and also to carry around. The rectangular precision gage block sets are made of alloy steel, and they come with a 65 Rockwell hardness. The gages come in sizes ranging from 0.1001 inches to 4 inches. Each 81-piece gage block set includes 9 blocks of length 0.1001 to 0.1009 inches (0.0001-inch steps), 49 blocks of 0.101 to 0.149-inch length (0.001-inch steps), 19 blocks of length 0.05 to 0.95 inches (0.05-inch steps), and 4 blocks of lengths 1, 2, 3, and 4 inches each. These inch-type precision gage block sets come in A+ grade (ANSI grade 0) and B grade (economy) varieties. Each piece in the PAA-81-model A+ grade gage block sets is supplied with a certificate of calibration that is traceable to NIST. The model provides superior accuracy and shows tolerance of +5 millionths and -2 millionths of an inch. The B-grade PGB-81 model, on the other hand, offers a certificate of accuracy only. However, it is well-constructed and provides you with a tolerance of +/-50 millionths of an inch, which is highly suitable for most gaging purposes. Both models can deliver their highest degree of accuracy when you use them at 68F (20C). The sets are thoroughly calibrated to comply with the GGG-G-15C federal specifications. Moreover, in both models, each piece is serialized for easy identification. Supplied in fitted case
